Programming the "brain" of the robot is a rather complicated process. Using the IAR workbench is a massive task. You have to first create a wizard file with another program and then load it up with the workbench. Within the workbench you must compile and link the instructions for the robot. From there you simply load the program into the robot via USB. You then must test the program and make modifications to it as necessary.
While we had the ability to use an advanced technique, the extensive knowledge required to apply it kept us from taking that route. We used a less complicated, more simplified way that didn't require much knowledge of programming. It required little more than creating the instructions, compiling them, then loading them into the "brain."
Overall, once you get the ideas and concepts down, usage of the program and inputting instructions is not an impossible task. All it takes is motivation and a willingness to learn. |
